The Prystine project together with similar AutoDrive and recent new AI4DI and NewControl projects were presented by the project partners in the European Forum for Electronic Components and Systems (EFECS). Cooperating partners from all projects have organized a large joint project booth with posters and videos representing each project individually and generally reflecting the connection that links all projects, such as lighthouse initiatives, Lighthouse mobility.E and Lighthouse industry 4.E.
EFECS is the international forum with a focus on ‘Our Digital Future’ along the Electronic Components and Systems value chain in Europe. The event was jointly organized by AENEAS, ARTEMIS-IA, EPoSS, ECSEL Joint Undertaking, and the European Commission, in association with EUREKA. It was a very successful event with numerous opportunities to learn more about the latest developments, cooperation and funding possibilities in the ECS Community.
17-18 of June 2019, Bucharest
PRYSTINE together with other Lighthouse Mobility.E projects AutoDrive, AI4DI and NewControl was presented during the ECSEL JU Symposium 2019 ‘Shaping digital innovation’. The Symposium took place in Bucharest Palace of Parliament, Romania on the 17-18 of June 2019. The event gathered a wide range of European and global stakeholders in the Electronics Components and Systems domain, including industry representatives, research and financial experts, policy decision-makers, and key opinion leaders.
The ECSEL JU Symposium 2019 provided an excellent opportunity and space for the ECSEL JU projects to present their progress and results to date, to disseminate the scientific and technological achievements, and to cast light on their contributions to the programme. This year in line with the digitization theme, projects presented their results in digital form: videos, digital posters, project presentations, and photo displays.
PRYSTINE was represented by project partners MetisBaltic, Institute of Electronics and Computer Science, AVL, Infineon Technologies, and TTTech.
During the Symposium, visionaries introduced new trends and new perspectives in the digital sector, focusing on how digital transformation will change the world. The audience was captivated by Martin Wezowski’s speech about digital society and digital transformation. Furthermore, fascinating insights about the impact of the ECSEL JU contribution to the EU synergy and complementarity strategy for the ECS sector were presented.
4th - 8th November 2019, Graz, Austria
The Prystine Team participated in the 2019 IEEE ICCVE in Graz last month. During the Conference the latest innovations on CAV's were presented to the audience. On schedule had been Panel discussions, Presentations to various automotive themes and several known keynote speakers like Mykel Kochenderferfer from the stanford university or Thomas Kuehbeck from BMW.
26th - 27th of September, Modena, italy
On 26th-27th of September Project Management Team (PMT) together with the invited Innovation Technology and Advisory Board (ITAB) gathered to discuss the progress after the 1st review and to discuss the necessary actions to be taken. The main purpose of this meeting was to discuss lessons learned from the 1st review, status and open issues, interactions, risks and mitigation in SCs and WPs level.
24th - 26th of September 2019, Brussels, Belgium
On 24th – 26th of September the PRYSTINE project participated in European Research and Innovation Days (European R&I Days), where project partners together with the ECSEL JU team organized to show the latest demonstrators developed within PRYSTINE for the project booth in the event. PRYSTINE together with AutoDrive project were presented for over 200 visitors at the joint projects’ booth with several demonstrators in face to face discussions, and in general, for 3000 visitors auditorium via event wrap up video of the three days event. PRYSTINE project presented two technical demonstrators: Demo 1.3 Radar and Demo 1.1 LiDAR which received exceptional attention from the visitors for its interactive representation, including:
27th of September 2019, Modena, Italy
On the 27th of September PRYSTINE took a chance to be presented at Annual “Researchers night” which is happening on the same night all over Europe dedicated to involving society to actively participate in science. This time PRYSTINE was presented at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, in Italy, where the project was introduced to both young and mature people starting with preschool children, ending with seniors. The project booth attracted many visitors and sparked many interesting discussions with the project representing partners.
5th of July 2019, Brusseles, Belgium
On the 5th of July the 1st review meeting was held in Brussels, Belgium at the ECSEL JU headquarters. Project Managing Team (PMT) and individual partners representing project demonstrators gathered to introduce the Reviewers with the overall project status after the first year. Leaders of Supply Chains and Work Packages presented the achieved results, deliverables, and milestones, and gave a glimpse into near-future plans and activities, focusing especially on the planned technological demonstrators. 1st year review meeting culminated with a session of two demonstrators and a few demonstration-videos showing early progress which was highly appreciated.
21/23.05.2019 Vilnius Lithuania
On 21st-23rd of May the 1st review preparation meeting was held in Vilnius, Lithuania, organised by project dissemination partner Metis Baltic. Project Managing Team (PMT) and individual partners gathered to discuss the overall status of the project ahead of the 1st Review. Project partners presented the overall project status after the first year, and discussed the challenges for the second year. Leaders of Supply Chains and Work Packages presented the achieved results, deliverables and milestones, and gave a glimpse into near future plans and activities, focusing especially on the planned technological demonstrators. This successful meeting was crowned with an impressive dinner with a marvellous view of the Trakai Castle and live choir music.
